Event details of Health Literacy and Misinformation
Date 11 November 2021
Time 13:30 -17:30
Organised by Christin Scholz , Julia van Weert

Health literacy concerns the ability to find, understand, and apply information about health care and disease prevention. It further includes the ability to judge the value of information. Is the information correct or is it misinformation? Misinformation is information which is unintentionally incorrect.

An example: Your ear hurts. You search for information about what you should do. You may come across outdated information on the internet. Maybe you find subjective information or information that does not apply to your specific situation in an online forum or within your circle of friends. These are all types of misinformation.

The full program of this event will be published soon. During this event, we connect science and practice. The event will take place in the afternoon and will be held online. Because we are eager to interact with practitioners, the official language of this event will be Dutch/Flemish.
