For the fourth year in a row, the University of Amsterdam is the highest ranked Dutch university in QS World University Rankings.
In this year’s overall QS World University ranking, published on September 16nd, the University of Amsterdam rises from a 50th place as compared to being placed 58th in last year’s ranking. Also in the Faculty Area Rankings, the evaluation of each scientific discipline, the UvA is rising. The UvA is ranked 10th worldwide within the Communication and Media studies.
The ranking is composed on the basis of six criteria: the academic reputation, the reputation by employers, the amount of citations and the proportion of staff-students, international staff and international students.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, VS) is like previous years the frontrunner followed by the University of Cambridge (GB) and Imperial College London (GB).
