It was found that personal messages in this Journal were also visible to lecturers and student assistants who were linked to students through Canvas courses, but for whom these messages were not intended. This information was not accessible by students, other UvA employees without access to the functionality or persons outside of the UvA. After this breach was reported, the functionality was examined and disabled. In addition, Dutch Data Protection Authority has been notified.
