At the moment logging into SIS (the system where you find your study results and see for which courses you are registered) is only possible using VPN. VPN software creates an encrypted connection between your computer and the UvA network.

The reason for this extra step is that a vulnerability has been found in software that is used worldwide, for example in the application SIS. We therefore ask you to take this security step if you want to log into SIS. You can use VPN in two ways:

- Login via https://vpn.uva.nl/sis. SIS works as usual.

- Downloading software: The installation files are different for every operating system. In the A-Z list you will find a short manual per operating system on how to install VPN on your laptop.

You still have access to your study results via the My UvA-app. Course registration continues via the Planner. You can find more information on http://www.services.uva.nl/.

If you have problems downloading the VPN software, please contact the Servicedesk ICTS on 020-525 1402.
