The examinations for period 2 will take place from Friday 17 December onwards. It is important to us that you are able to sit your exams safely. This message informs you about the impact of the coronavirus on the examinations.
We have worked together over the past few months to ensure that the UvA is not a source of infections. This has been achieved through the use of face masks, testing and self-testing, wider walking routes and additional hygiene measures. We are therefore confident that the exams can also be taken safely, as long as we comply with the guidelines together.
Will the exams be going ahead?
The exams will go ahead as planned, including those held on campus. This is in the interests of both students and lecturers. To make this process as safe as possible for everyone, we would ask you to self-test at home before your exam. If you have any symptoms and/or a positive result, stay at home and take the resit.
Please note: if any member of your household has tested positive, please stay at home in this case as well.
Symptoms or a positive test? Stay at home and take the resit. If you cannot take an exam because of the coronavirus, do not worry. We will look for a solution for each degree programme after the regular resits.
The tailor-made solutions will only apply to students who were unable to take the exam for block 2 courses at the first and/or second opportunity due to the coronavirus. By means of these tailor-made solutions, we want to prevent students from coming to the campus despite having symptoms.
