As of 6 November, the corona measures have been tightened again. This means that it is mandatory to wear a face mask in the indoor areas. The homework advice has also been adjusted.

Face mask measures explained

From 6 November, it will be mandatory again to wear face masks in public indoor areas. This means that everyone on campus must wear a face mask when moving around the buildings and (educational) areas. Everyone is requested to bring their own face mask.

  • The face mask can be removed when everyone has a fixed seat or standing place.
  • A lecturer is not required to wear a face mask during lectures, but is allowed to (see also the guidelines for a safe studying and working environment on campus.)
  • Certain forms of practical education are excluded from the mask obligation (eg lab education where face masks pose a risk); coordination takes place between those involved.
  • Persons who are unable to wear a face mask due to a disability or illness are also exempted from the obligation. However, they must carry a completed declaration with them.

For all applicable corona measures on campus, we refer you to Campus guidelines.

Working from home

The advice for working at home has also been updated: work at home for at least half of the working week, if possible. This advice does not apply to staff who are required to be on-campus due to the nature of their work, or to staff who have made agreements with their manager on working on-campus.

If you are in any doubt as to whether or not certain work can be done from home or a certain proportion of your working hours can be spent at home, please discuss the matter with your manager.
