In the upcoming period Liander will install so called medium voltage cables. The image below shows the route along which they will be working.

Traffic disruption

To ensure that the work is carried out safely, traffic changes are clearly indicated and work areas cordoned off. From 1 November, Science Park will be set up for one-way traffic and all bus stops on the 'inner bend' will be temporarily out of use. Agreements have been made about this with the municipality of Amsterdam and the UvA.

Accessibility

Electricity is maintained during the work and there is no power cut. Everything in and around Science Park remains accessible, but you may have to take a detour. The nuisance will be limited as much as possible, but you cannot be prevented from experiencing any nuisance from the traffic changes or equipment.

Schedule

Work will take place from 1 November, 2021 to 5 April, 2022 – with the exception of weeks 52, 2021 and week 1, 2022.
