Start of consultations on 2018 Framework Letter
The Executive Board has adopted the 2018 Framework Letter subject to the approval of the general outline of the budget by the central representative advisory bodies. Staff and students have until 26 June to send in questions and/or comments.
The Executive Board adopted the 2018 Framework Letter On Tuesday 6 June 2017, subject to the approval of the general outline of the budget by the central representative advisory bodies. The Framework Letter will serve as a basis for the UvA's 2018 Budget and multi-year estimates for 2019-2021. It will offer faculties and service departments guidelines and support in the process of preparing their own budgets.
Staff and students have until 26 June to consult the Framework Letter and email any questions and remarks to email@example.com. Please note that the Framework Letter is only available in Dutch.
When the consultation period has ended, the remarks, suggestions and questions will be passed on to the representative advisory bodies. Any relevant input will be used in drawing up the draft budget later in the year. Feedback on the response received during the consultation period will be attached to the draft budget.
Representative advisory bodies
The beginning of the consultation period is also when the Framework Letter will be submitted to the Joint Meeting (GV) of the representative advisory bodies for approval of the general outline of the budget. The Joint Meeting will have until 20 July to approve the general outline of the budget. Midway this period a Joint Consultative Meeting (GOV) will take place about the 2018 Framework Letter. The reactions of students and staff to the 2018 Framework Letter can be discussed at that juncture.
Consultations on 2018 UvA draft budget
In the autumn the Executive Board will consult the Academic Community about the 2018 draft budget and request advice on this from the GV. The 2018 budget will be adopted by the Executive Board in December and submitted to the Supervisory Board for approval.
