Turnitin

The program compares a given text with other existing texts from different sources. If there is any cross-over with existing texts, the extent of the similarity is expressed as a percentage.

Tutors are given an overview of these percentages.  They can also assess students’ work using the ‘Grademark’ module. Furthermore, students can assess each other’s work using the ‘Peermark’ module.

Turnitin can be used via Blackboard, but it is also possible to use Turnitin directly. Your faculty’s key user can request access for this if necessary via the ICTS service desk.
