Before arrival

Visa

The Faculty of Science assists all students who need a visa to apply for this visa through a shortened procedure

Accommodation

All Erasmus students have receive an e-mail with information on housing and a link for the online application for student housing.

Online registration at the University of Amsterdam

For immigration formalities (depending on your nationality) and your registration as an Erasmus student at the University of Amsterdam

Health insurance

You are obliged to have appropriate health insurance for the duration of your stay in the Netherlands.

After arrival

1. Arrange accommodation

After arrival to Amsterdam arrange your housing first

2. Intake Procedure at Service and Information Centre (SIC)

You will get an appointment for the Intake Procedure at the SIC. The address is: Binnengasthuisstraat 9, 1012 ZA Amsterdam, phone number is 020- 525 8080. Opening hours are Monday until Friday from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.

3. Introduction International Student Network (ISN)

4. Dutch bank account

Your financial affairs will run most smoothly if you open a bank account in the Netherlands and obtain a bankcard
