Food and drinks

As of 1 January 2017, the University of Amsterdam is rolling out a new concept for on-campus catering in association with Cormet. As the universities’ new partner and main contractor, Cormet will be contracting local Amsterdam-based businesses to operate the various catering outlets on the different campuses throughout the city, for short pop-ups and more extended franchises.

Based on ongoing consultation with students and staff, every campus will be continually fine-tuned to reflect people’s requirements, both in terms of the look and feel as well as the products on offer. The partnership between UvA, AUAS and Cormet will formally commence on 1 January. The plans for each campus will be implemented over the next three years. This is all part of the property development plans, including plans for new construction and renovation.

Your campus

Every campus has a central ‘Base’ meeting place in the heart of the campus, with different food vendors and additional amenities where appropriate. Coffee corners, whether with or without food, will be opened up on the basis of demand. Kiosks and vending machines can be found in various places in the buildings. Coffee carts can be found in central halls at peak hours, and at certain prearranged times there will be food trucks on the premises outside.

Locations, opening hours, local entrepreneurs

The locations and opening hours can be found on the website for your campus, along with information about the local businesses that will be represented at your location. Go to www.enjoytoday.amsterdam.
