Blackboard is a digital learning platform that the UvA uses to electronically support the teaching process. Lecturers can place their learning materials online and exchange messages with students.
You can access Blackboard with your UvAnetID. Once you register for a course, you'll have automatic access to Blackboard for that particular course.
- Have any questions or having trouble accessing Blackboard? Take a look at the FAQ first. If you can’t find an answer to your question, contact your lecturer.
- Has the course already started and you don't have access to Blackboard even though you are registered? Please contact the Student Desk of your degree programme.
- Consult SIS or Blackboard ('Mygroups') to see to which tutorial group you have been assigned.
You can access Blackboard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sometimes maintenance is required, and this is usually carried out on Friday evenings between 18:00 and 22:00 (excluding examination periods). Please note that during maintenance, Blackboard is not available, or only intermittently. Maintenance will be announced via the homepage of your study programme under "Announcements”.
