Want faster Wi-Fi? Use the ‘uva’ or ‘eduroam’ networks
As a student of the UvA you can use the ‘uva’ or ‘eduroam’ networks for a fast and secure connection.
This will also give you access to all the information systems. When connecting to these networks the first time, you need to activate some settings. After that, you will be connected automatically within UvA buildings.
UvA Open Wi-Fi
Note: do you use the open Wi-Fi network in UvA buildings? Be aware that this network is unprotected and is intended for visitors. Students can use the above networks, which are more secure. UvA Open Wi-Fi is also slower and requires you to log in again each time.
You can find more information in de A-Z-list > Wireless internet.
If you have problems connecting to the network go to the information desk at one of the study centres.
